In 2011, I was awarded the Beca Rioja Talento 2010-2011 by the Fundación Riojana para la Innovación — a €13,800 scholarship to support my M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London.

About the Scholarship

The Becas Rioja Talento programme supports talented students from La Rioja pursuing higher education at leading institutions abroad. The scholarship is funded by the Fundación Riojana para la Innovación, which promotes innovation, talent development, and international education in the region.

The Fundación Riojana para la Innovación later featured the programme and three of its scholars — including me — in its January–March 2012 newsletter, once the eight Becas Rioja Talento recipients had graduated. I received a beca tipo 2 (undergraduate studies abroad) for my degree in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London.
